A referendum on allowing abortion within the first twelve weeks of pregnancy was held in Liechtenstein on 18 September 2011.[1] Prince Alois of Liechtenstein had threatened to veto the result, however, if the result of the referendum should have turned out in favour.[2] In the end it failed.
